Basketball Game Preview: Malone Tigers vs. Bethlehem Wildcats

Malone is 2-8 against Bethlehem since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 3:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. One thing working in Malone's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.

Malone fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Seminole County on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 65-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.

Malone's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Everett Welch, who posted 21 points, and Jackson Welch, who had 18 points and three steals. The game was Jackson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamerious Sims, who earned seven points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Bethlehem had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 points) and they went ahead and made it seven on Friday. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 51-43.

Bethlehem's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Malone, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-4.
