Softball Recap: East Rockaway Falls to Lynbrook in First Game of Season

East Rockaway unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Lynbrook Owls by a score of 7-5 on Saturday. The Rocks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Owls apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Lynbrook has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

East Rockaway does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lynbrook, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 15-2 loss against Long Beach on the 5th.
