Stanton is a perfect 10-0 against Griswold since July of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Vikings will look to defend their home field against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Stanton took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Essex a 31-0 shutout. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Griswold). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over Sidney on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since May 28, 2024.

Stanton now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Griswold, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.

Stanton took their win against Griswold in their previous meeting back in June of 2024 by a conclusive 9-2 score. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
