Football Recap: Atkins Takes a Loss

Atkins and Glen Rose squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Atkins had to settle for second. They fell 19-9 to the Beavers. The Red Devils haven't had much luck with the Beavers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Cole Crawford threw for 126 yards and one touchdown. Davyn Bowden was his top target, picking up 113 receiving yards.

Atkins' defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Glen Rose, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Atkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Glen Rose, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 40-14 loss against Booneville on the 28th.
