Baseball Recap: Concord Christian Continues Home Dominance on Friday

Concord Christian proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 14) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Wilton-Lyndeborough Warriors 4-2. For the Kingsmen, this counts as revenge for the 4-3 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

TJ Charbono spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on two hits and racked up 19 Ks.

At the plate, Concord Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Funk, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Concord Christian pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 2.25 runs across that stretch. As for Wilton-Lyndeborough, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
