Softball Recap: Sunset Park Has No Trouble Against Lafayette

Sunset Park won the last time they faced Lafayette and things went their way on Friday too. Sunset Park blew past Lafayette 28-14.

Ransely Rodriguez was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, seven RBI, and two stolen bases. Selena Espinal was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

Sunset Park was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .444 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Sunset Park now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lafayette, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Sunset Park will face off against CSI International Studies at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lafayette, they will square off against Telecommunication Arts Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
