Basketball Recap: Pe Ell Takes a Loss

Pe Ell lost against Columbia Adventist Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Pe Ell Trojans lost to the Columbia Adventist Academy Kodiaks at home by a 64-50 margin. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Kodiaks are ranked 122nd).

Despite the loss, Pe Ell still got an impressive performance from Jakob Hayes, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. Hayes has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Mason, who posted nine points and four steals.

Pe Ell has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Columbia Adventist Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.

Pe Ell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Columbia Adventist Academy, they will square off against Taholah at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
