Softball Recap: Lake Braddock Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Lake Braddock won against West Potomac on Monday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Bruins beat the Wolverines by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-2. The win was nothing new for the Bruins as they're now sitting on four straight.

Lake Braddock got a massive performance out of Addison Forde, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI Forde has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Radha Samuel, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

Lake Braddock pushed their record up to 15-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 7.7 runs. As for West Potomac, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Lake Braddock will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Fairfax at 6:30 p.m. As for West Potomac, they will challenge Robinson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.31 runs per game on average), something the Wolverines will no doubt try to take advantage of.
