Basketball Recap: St. Petersburg Catholic Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from David Reilly and Josh Grobmyer

St. Petersburg Catholic lost against Clearwater Central Catholic back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The St. Petersburg Catholic Barons took a 48-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders. The loss was the Barons' first of the season.

St. Petersburg Catholic's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Josh Grobmyer, who posted 15 points, and David Reilly, who put up ten points and six rebounds. Grobmyer is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Anthony Raimondo was another key player, putting up seven points.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Petersburg Catholic fell to 2-1. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

St. Petersburg Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-33 win against Cristo Rey Tampa on the 5th. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 53-31 victory against Lakewood Ranch on the 6th.
