Soccer Recap: Green Run Takes a Loss

Green Run lost against Ocean Lakes back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stallions lost 9-0 to the Dolphins. While losing is never fun, Green Run can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 254th, while Ocean Lakes are ranked seventh).

Green Run has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Ocean Lakes, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Green Run will take on Lakeland at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Ocean Lakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
