Mason Kern put up the most steals he's had since back in March on Thursday. He shot 64% from the field to rack up 16 points and three steals, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Perhaps even more impressive was his lead-up to Thursday's contest, in which he improved his previous point total for three consecutive games.

Kern and South Charlotte will take on Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association in a holiday battle at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th. The Thunder had to take a loss when they last met the Stallions, but Kern had little to do with the loss: he posted eight points and five rebounds. Can he match (or beat) that performance?
