Soccer Recap: Hampton Comes Up Short

Hampton lost to Menchville back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Crabbers came up short against the Monarchs, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Hampton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Menchville are ranked 27th).

This is the second loss in a row for Hampton and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Menchville, their record is now 9-0.

Coincidentally, Hampton and Menchville will both be playing Woodside the next time they take the pitch. The Crabbers will head out to face the Wolverines at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Monarchs will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
