Baseball Recap: Midview Takes a Loss

Midview was the 5-1 winner over Steele when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Midview fell 7-3 to Steele on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Benjamin Szczepanski put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Szczepanski was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Szczepanski wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Melendez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Midview's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

While they had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
