Flag Football Game Preview: Vacaville Bulldogs vs. Monterey Trail Mustangs + Official Tickets

The Vacaville Bulldogs will face off against the Monterey Trail Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Vacaville's defense has only allowed 6.9 points per game this season, so Monterey Trail's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Vacaville is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering College Park just ended the team's 15-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a blow against the Falcons, falling 41-12. Having soared to a lofty 40 points in the game before, the Bulldogs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Monterey Trail was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 26-20 to Sheldon. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Huskies recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Although Monterey Trail took the loss, they still got scores from Lani Heringer, Isabella Barrientos, and Dalis Blackshire.

Monterey Trail's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. Hailey Yang was the real danger to the passing game, picking up two interceptions all by herself.

Monterey Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Vacaville, their loss dropped their record down to 18-3.
