Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Jefferson's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Jefferson won the last time they faced Festus and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Jefferson Blue Jays walked away with a 55-45 victory over the Festus Tigers.

Jefferson is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Festus, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-6.

Jefferson and Festus should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Jefferson will square off against Grandview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 297 places (274 vs. 571). Meanwhile, Festus (ranked 219th) will meet DeSoto (ranked 474th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
