Basketball Recap: Mill Springs Academy Gets the Win

Mill Springs Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Northwest Classical Academy Spartans on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 59-53 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mill Springs Academy.

Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Sabbarese, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. Sabbarese is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Benjamin Battista, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 14 boards.

Mill Springs Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Northwest Classical Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-2.

Mill Springs Academy and Northwest Classical Academy will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time Mill Springs Academy sees the court they'll take on Cumberland Academy of Georgia at 4:00 p.m. on December 8. As for Northwest Classical Academy, their break will end when they face Elite Scholars Academy at 7:30 p.m. on December 1.
