Basketball Game Preview: Durango Trailblazers vs. Spring Valley Grizzlies

The Durango Trailblazers will take on the Spring Valley Grizzlies at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Durango is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Centennial, who was ranked first at the time (Durango was ranked 18th). Durango took a blow against Centennial on Friday, falling 82-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Trailblazers have suffered since January 10, 2024.

Meanwhile, Spring Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 68-67 heartbreaker at the hands of Arbor View.

Durango has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season. As for Spring Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Durango didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Spring Valley when the teams last played on January 4th, but they still walked away with a 54-49 victory.
