Soccer Recap: Covington Comes Up Short

Covington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lafayette Central Catholic Knights.

Covington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-2. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, their win ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 4-10-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covington will square off against North Putnam at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lafayette Central Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rensselaer Central at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
