Soccer Game Preview: Pendleton vs. Palmetto

The Pendleton Bulldogs will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Palmetto Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs last Wednesday. While the 3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was Berea who was credited with the victory. Berea got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Pendleton's one.

Pendleton better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Palmetto's game on Friday is any indication, that's when Palmetto really gets things going. The Mustangs never let Belton-Honea Path get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. The victory continues a trend for Palmetto in their matchups with Belton-Honea Path: they've now won eight in a row.

Palmetto hit Belton-Honea Path with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Joselin Colindres, Bramble Martin, Birch Martin, and Ashlyn Newman.

Pendleton's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Palmetto, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Pendleton suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Palmetto in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
