Baseball Recap: Sedan Comes Up Short

Sedan had lost three straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 5-5-2 to make it four. They came up short against the Oxford Wildcats, falling 17-2. The Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

As for Oxford, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7. With that win, they brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

For Oxford's part, they got a massive performance out of Micah Reeves, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three doubles, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Reeves a new career-high. Pearson Rush also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Oxford beat Sedan by a score of 14-9 later that day.
