Baseball Recap: Trigg County Takes a Loss

Trigg County fell victim to Madisonville-North Hopkins and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Maroons, falling 10-0. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Maroons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Trigg County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaden Allen, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Allen's first of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Trigg County and nudges their season record down to 6-7. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Trigg County will host Henderson County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Colonels will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. As for Madisonville-North Hopkins, they will head out to square off against Owensboro at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
