            Softball Recap: Fieldcrest Knights vs. Hall Red Devils        
        
		
        
        
            Fieldcrest extended their losing streak  (dating back to last season) to 17  on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-16 in the process. They came up short against  the Hall Red Devils, falling  20-5. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing  16-6 to the Red Devils when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
As for Hall,  with the  victory, they broke their 13-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-23. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
For Hall's part,  Brynn Blair made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing four innings while giving up just two earned  (and three unearned) runs off   two  hits. Blair was even better at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in April.
 In other batting news, Hall got a  massive  performance out of  Caroline Morris, who  got on base  in three of her five plate appearances with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI. Those  three  stolen bases gave  Morris a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Leah Burkart, who  went 2-for-5 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI.
 Fieldcrest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hall, they will square off against Orion at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday.
