Basketball Game Preview: Young Americans Christian Eagles vs. Dominion Christian Knights

Young Americans Christian hasn't had much luck against Dominion Christian recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Young Americans Christian Eagles will head out to challenge the Dominion Christian Knights at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Young Americans Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

Last Thursday, Young Americans Christian lost to Hills Academy on the road by a 76-57 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (56), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Young Americans Christian might have lost, but man, Damian Crawford was a machine: he posted 27 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Holloway, who had 11 points.

Meanwhile, Dominion Christian was fully in charge on Tuesday, breezing past Fulton Science Academy 62-30. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 28 points or more this season.

Dominion Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Young Americans Christian, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.

Young Americans Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Dominion Christian when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 68-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for Young Americans Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
