Basketball Recap: Wrangell Continues Home Dominance on Friday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mt. Edgecumbe, Wrangell was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 50-42 win over the Petersburg Vikings. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Wrangell's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.2 points over those games. As for Petersburg, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Wrangell will have a chance to go back-to-back against Petersburg: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Saturday.
