Recap: Weaver Beavers vs. Achievement First
The Weaver Beavers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 25 points or more this season. They took their match on the road on Thursday with ease, bagging a 91-44 victory over Achievement First. The victory was just business as usual for Weaver, who after three games remain undefeated this season.
Weaver was led to victory by Fazal Khan and Madden Cupe. Khan scored nine points along with 20 rebounds and four steals, while Cupe scored 26 points along with four steals. The matchup was Cupe's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nasir Wright , who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Weaver's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.67 points. As for Achievement First, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Weaver will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Classical Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. Achievement First will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against South Windsor at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
