Soccer Recap: Rocky Mount Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bunn last Thursday, Rocky Mount came back down to earth. The Gryphons lost 6-1 to the Nash Central Bulldogs on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for Rocky Mount in their meetings with Nash Central: they've now lost six in a row.

Rocky Mount's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Nash Central, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rocky Mount will welcome SouthWest Edgecombe at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Nash Central, they will be playing at home against Northern Nash at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
