Sherrard had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Rock Island Rocks on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16.

Among those leading the charge was Adalynn Elsbury, who had 11 digs and one assist.

Sherrard wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Kewanee on the 28th. As for Rock Island, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Washington on the 2nd.
