Staunton River barely beat Lord Botetourt the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Golden Eagles put the hurt on the Cavaliers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. Staunton River's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Staunton River pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five contests. As for Lord Botetourt, their loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1-2 and their overall record down to 3-6-2.
