Basketball Recap: University Park Comes Up Short

University Park lost against Southbridge back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. University Park fell just short of the Southbridge Pioneers by a score of 61-58. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Monday (57), University Park still had to take the loss.

University Park now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Southbridge, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-7 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. University Park will venture away from home to face off against Narragansett Regional at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. University Park is facing Narragansett Regional at the right time seeing as Narragansett Regional is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Southbridge, they will square off against Prouty at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Prouty will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Southbridge surely won't give up without a fight.
