Volleyball Recap: Desert Vista Takes a Loss

Desert Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Corona del Sol Aztecs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Aztecs this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-1 defeat back in March.

Desert Vista took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 20-25, 27-29, 25-21, 17-15.

Desert Vista's loss dropped their record down to 13-18. As for Corona del Sol, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-14.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert Vista will head out to challenge Sunnyslope at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Corona del Sol, they will challenge Mountain View at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
