Softball Recap: Sierra Takes a Loss

Sierra was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 29-1 to the East Union Lancers. The Timberwolves lost against the Lancers in their previous head to head back in April of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 6-1 score last time.

Sierra's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for East Union, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

Looking ahead, Sierra will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Union, they will take on Monterey Trail in a tournament on Thursday. The Mustangs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Lancers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
