Volleyball Game Preview: Meadowbrook Colts vs. West Holmes Knights

The Meadowbrook Colts will be taking part in a tournament against the West Holmes Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Meadowbrook has five straight wins, West Holmes has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Meadowbrook barely beat Circleville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Colts put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday.

While Meadowbrook won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-20, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Journey Nicola, who had 15 digs and three assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six contests.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between West Holmes and Clear Fork, and Clear Fork kept the tradition alive. The Knights fell 3-1 to the Colts on Thursday.

West Holmes was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Clear Fork work for it, especially in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-16, 19-25, 26-24.

Meadowbrook's win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for West Holmes, their loss dropped their record down to 2-20.
