Haverford School put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Friends Select, sneaking past 63-61. Given the Fords' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked second, while Friends Select are ranked 169th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Haverford School's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Friends Select, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-7 record.

Haverford School will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against William Penn Charter at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Friends Select, they will head out on the road to take on Girard College at 12:00 p.m. on Monday.
