Volleyball Recap: Imagine School at North Port Comes Up Short

Imagine School at North Port extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-4. They came up short against the Bishop Verot Vikings, falling 3-0. The Sharks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

As for Bishop Verot, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 17, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

Leading Bishop Verot to victory were Sidney Blackwood and Alaina Schmidt. Blackwood had five digs and four aces, while Schmidt had seven digs. Blackwood is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last nine games she's played dating back to last season.

Coming up, Imagine School at North Port will challenge Out-of-Door Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Sharks' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Bishop Verot, they will square off against Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
