Basketball Recap: Southwest Onslow Skates Past South Lenoir with Ease

There's no place like home for Southwest Onslow, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 52-21 win over the South Lenoir Blue Devils. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season.

Leading Southwest Onslow to victory were Khimara Dorsey and Oriyanna Galloway. Dorsey dropped a double-double on 12 points and 30 rebounds, while Galloway almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine steals. Dorsey is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Brinkleyanne Lucas, who went 7 for 12 en route to 18 points.

When it comes to explaining why South Lenoir lost, don't look at Makenzie Herring. Despite the final result, she posted nine points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Cole, who had two points and four steals.

Southwest Onslow's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for South Lenoir, they dropped their record down to 2-17 with the loss, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.
