Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Eunice couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Loving Falcons on Friday. The Cardinals' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Fernando Serna spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Isaac Morales made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

Eunice's defeat dropped their record down to 19-5. As for Loving, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-7.

As of now, neither Eunice nor the Falcons have any future games scheduled.
