Basketball Recap: Mckinley Tech Beats Ballou for Their Seventh Straight Win

On Friday, McKinley Tech faced Ballou in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The McKinley Tech Trainers snuck past the Ballou Knights with a 56-52 win. Winning may never get old, but the Trainers sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Leading McKinley Tech to victory were DaMontae Neclos and Marcus Dunbar. Neclos posted 23 points, while Dunbar earned 23 points and seven boards. The game was Neclos' fifth in a row with at least ten points.

When it comes to explaining why Ballou lost, don't look at Antonio King. Despite the final result, he scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Keshaun Mack was another key player, putting up nine points.

McKinley Tech's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. As for Ballou, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.

McKinley Tech didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 78-58 win against Georgetown Day on the 11th. As for Ballou, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-55 victory against Banneker on the 13th.
