Baseball Recap: Fairfield Comes Up Short

Fairfield lost to Hillsboro back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions came up short against the Indians, falling 14-7. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cameron Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Greyson Abbott, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.

Fairfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Hillsboro, they moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Fairfield will be playing at home against Wilmington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hillsboro, they will venture away from home to challenge Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
