Shelton won against Fairfield Prep on Friday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Gaels' pitchers stepped up to hand the Wilbur Cross Governors a 10-0 shutout. The Gaels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Shelton and bumps their season record up to 10-12. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Wilbur Cross, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.
