Softball Recap: Goode STEM Academy Takes a Loss

Goode STEM Academy extended their losing streak to four on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 3-11 in the process. They lost 21-1 to the Clemente Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-4 on Monday.

As for Clemente, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3. Considering they have won eight games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Clemente's part, they got a big performance out of Talina Figueroa, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base. Figueroa is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jaylani Sanchez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

As of now, neither Goode STEM Academy nor Clemente have any future games scheduled.
