Baseball Recap: Tolar Rattlers vs. Peaster Greyhounds

Tolar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-1 to the Peaster Greyhounds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-6 last Tuesday.

Drake Owens was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Owens was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one triple.

Owens wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Talan Culberson, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Tolar suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 4-11. As for Peaster, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tolar will welcome Early at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Peaster, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Comanche at 7:00 p.m.
