Into the third month of the 2015-16 boys basketball season Brandeis (San Antonio), No. 4 in MaxPreps Texas Top 25, remains one of three undefeated teams in Texas' top classification.

The Broncos (22-0) have had only one close escape, 69-68 over Clark (San Antonio) in a mid-December tournament. Brandeis prevailed by outscoring Clark 29-16 in the fourth quarter.

Coach Marc Gardner's team, up four spots to No. 4 this week, is led in scoring by the dynamic backcourt of Central Michigan signee Ellis Jefferson (21.6 average) and junior Kobe Magee (19.2). Magee has 65 3-pointers and is shooting 50 percent behind the arc.

William Raeford, a 6-4 senior post, leads the club in rebounds.

Two more games with Clark remain on the Brandeis regular season schedule.
