Parkersburg is 9-1 against Capital since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Big Reds are taking a road trip to challenge the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Parkersburg made up a huge gap compared to their last game against St. Marys, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Big Reds fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 7-5 on Thursday. The Big Reds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Parkersburg saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Davis, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Capital's offense. They lost 9-0 to St. Albans on Thursday. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured six losses in a row.

Parkersburg's record is now 2-10. As for Capital, their record now sits at 3-16.

Parkersburg took their win against Capital in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Big Reds since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
