Basketball Game Preview: Hatch Valley Bears vs. Hot Springs Tigers

Hatch Valley hasn't had much luck against Hot Springs recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Hatch Valley Bears will head out on the road to challenge the Hot Springs Tigers at 7:00 p.m.

Hatch Valley is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-47 heartbreaker at the hands of Socorro.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hot Springs, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They walked away with a 56-45 victory over Cobre on Tuesday.

Hot Springs pushed their record up to 14-7 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.2 points per game. As for Hatch Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Things could have been worse for Hatch Valley, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-32 loss to Hot Springs in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Hatch Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
