Baseball Recap: Wyoming Area Has No Trouble Against Hanover Area

Wyoming Area's game last Sunday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Hanover Area Hawkeyes with a sharp 13-1 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Warriors considering their one-run performance the game before.

Mitchell Rusinchak was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. He has become a key player for Wyoming Area: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Ben Rogish was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Rusinchak wasn't the only one making solid contact: Wyoming Area kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Wyoming Area's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Hanover Area, they dropped their record down to 0-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Wyoming Area will welcome Western Wayne at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hanover Area, they will head out to face off against South Williamsport at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
