Basketball Recap: Ryan Comes Up Short

Ryan was the 67-55 winner over Richland when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Ryan Raiders fell 64-51 to the Richland Royals on Tuesday. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Royals 9-5 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Ryan still got an impressive performance from Kadon Jackson, who posted 17 points. The dominant performance gave Jackson a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Zylan Bernard, who scored nine points.

Ryan has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season. As for Richland, the win got them back to even at 14-14.

Ryan didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 65-60 defeat against Grapevine on the 24th. As for Richland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 73-52 loss against Birdville on the 24th.
