Basketball Recap: Nocona Now 17-1 over Last 18 Games

With a playoff win on the line, Nocona rose to the challenge on Monday. They secured a 46-41 W over the Panhandle Panthers. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Indians' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Panthers are ranked 34th).

Nocona has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.2 points over those games. Panhandle's defeat ended a 20-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 32-4.

As of now, neither Nocona nor Panhandle have any future games scheduled.
