Basketball Recap: St. Clair County Takes Down Lincoln in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only St. Clair County walked away with it. They breezed by the Lincoln Golden Bears to the tune of 71-44 on Monday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 69-27 last Monday.

St. Clair County pushed their record up to 9-16 with the win, which was their third straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 40.7 points. As for Lincoln, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 14 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-19 record this season.

St. Clair County will head out to challenge Jacksonville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Jacksonville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully St. Clair County likes a good challenge. Lincoln does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
