Baseball Game Preview: Zimmerman Thunder vs. Monticello Magic

Zimmerman is 0-3 against Monticello since May of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Thunder will be playing at home against the Magic at 4:00 p.m. The two teams were dealt some close losses in their previous games and are determined not to let this one get away.

Zimmerman made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Becker, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Thunder fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 5-3 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Thunder have suffered since May 18, 2024.

Meanwhile, Monticello didn't have quite enough to beat Rocori on Friday and fell 5-3.

Monticello saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brock Holthaus, who went 2-for-4 with one triple and one run. Tim Marcus also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Zimmerman's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Monticello, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4.
