Baseball Recap: Leadership Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Morehead, Leadership Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Carver Yellowjackets a 22-0 shutout. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Clay Smith was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. Jafet Rodriguez was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Leadership Academy pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

They will have a chance to go back-to-back against Carver: the pair will be back at it again later today.
